remember me?! goodness, things have been hectic around here. but we like hectic! ay yai yai... so much to tell y'all.
lets begin with...bear!
lets begin with...bear!
he has grown up so quickly! as you know from a previous post, i've been frequenting the humane society. i've been going with eric every weekend for about a month just wanting to sit and play with the puppies that were brought in to be adopted. ha... play. oh, we did play! every single time we left it felt like my heart was being ripped out. I wanted to take all of them home with me! at the end of each visit eric would always ask me, "still just wanting to play with them?" well one saturday morning, we walked in and were told four puppies just arrived. I laid eyes on bear and play time was over. I couldn't leave that day without him! after weighing all the pros and cons, thinking about the responsibility both financially and physically, i came to a decision. i wanted him and i was able to give him a good home! he is such a sweet pup. i can't imagine not having him in my life! there were so many loving dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats at the humane society. if you ever have the opportunity to take home a pet, please look into your nearest shelter or humane society!
onto more news! if you go to my "about" section, you'll see a picture of my lovely sister and i. well folks, she's engaged!! i finally get a brother and I am SO excited for both of them and for our families. my family was able to spend easter weekend together and brian, my sister's fiancé, wanted to propose to my sister with both of our families there. his family lives about half an hour away from my sister's house so we were all able to enjoy an easter meal together! they are going to make such a loving, happy family. brian and cristina, i am beyond excited for you both!! brian had asked me what my sister's ring size was a few months before the proposal- i freaked out! i couldn't believe it. i was finally going to have a brother and my sister was going to marry the man of her dreams. holding onto this secret was bittersweet; i didn't want to spoil the proposal at all but I just needed to tell someone! thank you to eric and a few of my close friends for lending me an ear and locked lips! :) after we finished our meal, brian announced that he had one last house-warming gift for my sister. she is a recent homeowner! the rest of the story can be told in the pictures below.

as you can see, the end of spring/beginning of summer has been quite the party around here! things have come back to somewhat of a normal with bear being right at home and taking over the apartment- seriously, he owns the place and cristina planning some things here and there for her wedding next year. life is good y'all, life is good.
so here's tomorrow! plenty of walks, runs, and dog park visits with bear and getting some wedding planning done. eeek!
