Isn't he a cutie?! Meet Max! On Sunday, Eric and I took advantage of a very unusual, warm winter day here in the Midwest. Max has been visiting while his owners (Eric's grandparents) went on a little vacation to Florida. I know, lucky them! Poor old boy has been stuck inside most of the time with this awful, bipolar weather. So, we decided to take advantage of the day and bring Max along for the ride! After searching for parks that allow dogs, we found one that looked really awesome. We packed up the car, opened up the sun roof (ahhhh) and headed on our way. It was great to see so many people out and about- the sunshine just beckons. After being cooped up inside and having gloomy days hanging over our heads, it was a much-needed breath of fresh air. Max has temporarily filled that perpetual-puppy-wanting hole in my heart... I hope he stays around for a bit longer!
We found a big ol' friend!
Monday came in full fashion. A heaping cup of coffee, breakfast on the go, and sleepy students wishing the weekend lasted a little bit longer. I've been taking over the classroom little by little- my cooperative teacher is amazing y'all! I am so blessed. I'm really enjoying my time in the classroom and creating relationships with all of the students- they're spunky and fun and in those crazy pre-teen years. And yes, pre-teens are just as difficult as teens! This week I realized what my professors meant by loving and hating your job at the same time- the beginning of this week was pretty difficult for some reason, but I'm thankful for them because I have been able to learn so much about teaching, about myself, and about my students. It makes me truly appreciate our good days and confident to tackle our bad days; this career is so worth it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Here's to the end of everyone's week!
And a little wish that spring gets here a bit faster!
